Fixed Ultrasonic Flow Meter: U1000 MKII FM (with universal pipe guide) | MICRONICS
This entry-level flow meter, with a very good price/performance ratio, has been designed for simple, non-intrusive flow measurement applications on particle-free water: e.g., water flow on steel pipes or liquid measurement on heating or cold water circuits in building management.
This entry-level flow meter, with a very good price/performance ratio, has been designed for simple, non-intrusive flow measurement applications on water without particles: e.g., water flow on steel pipes or liquid measurement on heating or cold water circuits in building management.
The U1000 works on steel, plastic, or copper pipes.
It is a transit-time ultrasonic flow meter designed to work with non-intrusive clamp-on sensors. It allows precise measurement of liquid flow through a closed pipe without inserting mechanical parts that could disrupt the flow measurement. It can be installed in just a few minutes without the need to stop the flow or drain the liquid.
6 distinct versions, IP54 rated, are offered for pipes with a maximum diameter of 4 or 6 inches:
- 4-inch pipe version with Pulse output for pipes with an outer diameter (OD) of 22 to 115 mm or an inner diameter (ID) of 20 to 110 mm
- 6-inch pipe version with Pulse output for pipes with an outer diameter (OD) of 125 to 180 mm and an inner diameter (ID) of 105-165 mm
- 4-inch pipe version with Pulse & 4-20 mA outputs for pipes with an outer diameter (OD) of 22 to 115 mm and an inner diameter (ID) of 20-110 mm
- 6-inch pipe version with Pulse & 4-20 mA outputs for pipes with an outer diameter (OD) of 125 to 180 mm and an inner diameter (ID) of 105-165 mm
- 4-inch pipe version with Pulse & Modbus outputs for pipes with an outer diameter (OD) of 22 to 115 mm and an inner diameter (ID) of 20-110 mm
- 6-inch pipe version with Pulse & Modbus outputs for pipes with an outer diameter (OD) of 125 to 180 mm and an inner diameter (ID) of 105-165 mm
It allows flow measurement in liters/min with the pulse output, or in liters with the 4-20 mA output for fluids with a temperature range of 0-85°C. Delivered ready to use with pipe clamps, LCD display, and a universal guide for pipes.
Advantages:
- Very good price-performance ratio
- New cross-correlation system for flow measurement
- New 1 MHz sensor allowing measurement on old, damaged, or larger diameter pipes
- New water/glycol option offered
- Optional Modbus output available soon
Technical characteristics:
- Accuracy: +/-1-3% for flow < 0.3m/s
- Measurable flow range: 0.1 to 10m/s
- Pipe diameter range to be confirmed at order: outer diameter (OD) of 25 to 115 mm OR inner diameter (ID) of 20 to 110 mm
- Measurable water temperature range: 0 to 85°C
- Standard pulse outputs
- Power supply: 12-24V
- IP54 rated
- Delivered with a 5m input-output cable for power supply and data retrieval
Optional accessories:
- A set of 50 patches (Ref. 2235003) very useful as they can be stuck to the pipes in case of condensation of the liquid in the pipe: once stuck, these patches cannot (unlike grease) be removed from the pipe by this condensation
- 12-24 V power supply (Ref. PSU1000)
Typical applications:
Recommended for measuring hot water < 85°C, chilled water, drinking water, demineralized water for: building and energy management, water treatment, food, chemical, petrochemical, and pharmaceutical industries
