Ultrasonic Thermal Energy Meter: U1000 MKII HM | MICRONICS
This new U1000 MKII HM ultrasonic thermal energy meter is a simple and economical solution for measuring hot or chilled water, directly from the outside of the pipes.
This new U1000 MKII HM ultrasonic thermal energy meter is a simple and economical solution for measuring hot or chilled water, directly from the outside of the pipes.
It is a more economical and smarter solution than inline systems! The U1000 MKII HM is based on non-intrusive ultrasonic measurement to measure flow within the pipes and PT100 thermal probes to measure flow and return temperatures.
It displays the energy rate and totalized energy with a pulse output and thanks to its Modbus port: it can therefore be used as a standalone device or integrated into an aM&T or BEM system. Easy to install, just attach the device to the pipe, then adjust it according to the pipe diameter, and plug in the power supply. This meter requires no specialized knowledge or specific installation tools.
We offer 4 distinct versions, IP54 approved, for pipes with a maximum diameter of 4 or 6 inches
- 4-inch pipe version with Pulse output for pipes with an external diameter (OD) of 22 to 115 mm and internal diameter (ID) of 20-110 mm
- 6-inch pipe version with Pulse output for pipes with an external diameter (OD) of 125 to 180 mm and internal diameter (ID) of 105-165 mm
- 4-inch pipe version with Pulse & Modbus output for pipes with an external diameter (OD) of 22 to 115 mm and internal diameter (ID) of 20-110 mm
- 6-inch pipe version with Pulse & Modbus output for pipes with an external diameter (OD) of 125 to 180 mm and internal diameter (ID) of 105-165 mm
It must be installed on pipes (made of steel, plastic, or copper) with an external diameter of 22-115 mm or 125-180 mm depending on the version, for water to be measured which must have a temperature of 0 to 85°C.

Delivered ready to use (except 12-24V power supply to be ordered separately if necessary) + 5 m cable.
Optional accessories:
- a set of 50 patches (Ref. 2235003) very useful as they can be stuck to the pipes in case of condensation of the pipe liquid: once stuck, these patches cannot (unlike grease) be removed from the pipe by this condensation.
- 12-24V power supply (Ref. PSU1000)
