Continuous Nickel (Ni) Analyzer | SEIBOLD
The SEIBOLD continuous Nickel (Ni) analyzer is designed to measure dissolved nickel concentrations in water. It is ideal for applications in potable water monitoring, industrial processes, and environmental protection. The analyzer offers a measurement range of 0.005 to 1.00 mg/L with high accuracy and resolution. It features automatic calibration and cleaning, a color LCD screen, and programmable measurement intervals. This device ensures reliable and precise monitoring of nickel levels, helping to mitigate health risks associated with nickel exposure.
Nickel (Ni) is an element found in very low concentrations (0.0099%) in the Earth’s crust, mainly in the form of sulfide, oxide, and silicate minerals. It is used in various industries such as alloys (e.g., stainless steel), galvanization, foundries, catalysis, and can also be found in electronic equipment, construction materials, and consumer products like batteries, paints, and ceramics.
Applications:
Potable Water: Nickel sources in water can come from soil and rock degradation, atmospheric particle deposition, and industrial process discharges.
Health Risks: Nickel compounds are carcinogenic, and there is also a cancer risk from metallic nickel. Many people may have an allergic reaction (dermatitis) upon contact with nickel.
