Electromagnetic field meter - broadband, selective and FFT analysis: SMP3 | Wavecontrol

SMP3 is a portable electromagnetic field meter for broadband, selective and FFT-based EMF measurements from 0 Hz to 60 GHz, with WPM and real-time limit comparison.

PRICE ON REQUEST

The SMP3 is a professional electromagnetic field meter designed for EMF exposure assessment from 0 Hz to 60 GHz, depending on the connected field probe. It combines broadband measurement, frequency selective analysis up to 10 MHz and static field measurement in a single portable instrument.

The system is suitable for worker safety, regulatory compliance and technical field investigations in laboratories, industry, telecommunications, energy, railway, aeronautical, defence, automotive and medical environments.

With plug-and-play probe recognition, real-time graphical display, Weighted Peak Method, SQL data logging and optional fibre optic connectivity, the SMP3 provides a flexible platform for broadband and selective electromagnetic field measurements.

Benefits

  • Three instruments in one: static field measurement, spectrum analysis and broadband field meter.
  • Wide measurement coverage: compatible field probes cover ranges from 0 Hz up to 60 GHz.
  • FFT-based time-domain spectrum analysis: spectrum analysis from 1 Hz to 10 MHz.
  • Broadband EMF measurement: supports broadband field measurements from 0 Hz to 60 GHz, depending on the selected probe.
  • Worker safety compliance: supports real-time comparison with limits such as ICNIRP, EU Directive, FCC and Safety Code 6.
  • Weighted Peak Method: real-time WPM from 1 Hz to 10 MHz for direct comparison with exposure limits.

  • Aeronautical, defence and automotive: field measurement programs requiring broadband, selective or static field capabilities.
  • Medical environments: electromagnetic field assessment where occupational or technical monitoring is required.

Why choose SMP3

The SMP3 is designed for teams that need a single, modular platform for comprehensive EMF exposure measurements. Its compatibility with a broad range of electric field, magnetic field and combined E&H probes allows the same instrument to cover applications from static fields and low-frequency exposure assessment to broadband RF measurements up to 60 GHz.

The instrument is particularly relevant for compliance-driven workflows thanks to Weighted Peak Method, real-time limit comparison, configurable averaging, scheduled measurements and high-capacity data logging. With automatic probe recognition, graphical real-time display, screenshot function and USB-C data transfer, the SMP3 supports both field measurements and structured reporting workflows.
