Oxygen & Carbon Dioxide Analyzers

About Oxygen & Carbon Dioxide Analyzers

ES Canada offers oxygen and carbon dioxide gas analyzers for industrial gas monitoring, laboratory measurements and modified atmosphere packaging (MAP). The range includes rackmount O2/CO2 instruments, portable package gas analyzers and dedicated trace oxygen measurement equipment.

These instruments address different concentration ranges and sampling requirements. A gas analyzer intended for residual oxygen testing in packaging should not be assumed to provide the same measurement capabilities as a trace oxygen analyzer for inert gas monitoring. Gas species, measurement range and sample conditions must be checked for the selected model.

Oxygen and carbon dioxide analyzers available

  • Industrial gas monitoring: the Q40 Series provides a rackmount format for O2 and CO2 measurement.
  • Portable gas analysis: Q30 and Q20 instruments address package gas testing, with laboratory applications also represented in the Q20 range.
  • Trace oxygen measurement: ZR1000 and Model 905V use zirconia sensing for applications requiring dedicated oxygen measurement.
  • Carbon dioxide analysis: Model 906 uses infrared measurement for CO2 gas analysis.
  • Modified atmosphere packaging: Models 901 and 905 address residual oxygen measurement, while Model 902D measures residual O2 and CO2.

Which gas measurement does your application require?

Start by identifying whether the objective is to measure oxygen, carbon dioxide or both. Residual gas analysis in a package, trace oxygen monitoring in an inert gas and industrial gas measurement represent different selection needs. Compare the specified measurement ranges and sampling arrangements before comparing instrument formats.

Typical applications

  • Residual oxygen and carbon dioxide testing in modified atmosphere packaging
  • Industrial O2 and CO2 gas monitoring
  • Trace oxygen measurement in inert gas applications
  • Laboratory gas analysis and portable sample testing

How to select an oxygen or CO2 analyzer

Compare the target gas, expected concentration, required resolution and measurement range. Review sample pressure, flow requirements, sample volume and compatibility with the gas mixture. Then check whether the application calls for a portable instrument or a rackmount installation, together with the available data outputs and calibration requirements. Capabilities vary by model and configuration.
