Ozone Monitors & Calibration

About Ozone Monitors & Calibration

ES Canada provides ozone monitors, ozone analyzers and gas calibration instruments from 2B Technologies for ambient air measurement, industrial processes, laboratory studies and environmental monitoring. The range includes compact ozone monitors, dual-beam and scrubberless models, portable instruments and dedicated calibration sources.

These instruments measure ozone in air or gas streams. Their measurement ranges and sampling arrangements vary by model, from low-concentration ambient monitoring to higher-concentration industrial ozone applications.

Types of ozone measurement equipment

  • Ambient ozone monitors: Instruments such as Models 108-L, 202 and 205 are used for measurement of ozone in air in environmental and research applications.
  • Industrial ozone analyzers: The 106 series includes versions intended for different ozone concentration ranges and process conditions.
  • Scrubberless ozone analyzers: Models 211 and 211-G address selected measurement requirements where interferences in polluted air are a concern.
  • Portable personal ozone measurement: The Personal Ozone Monitor (POM) supports field and exposure-related monitoring applications.
  • Calibration instruments: Ozone and NO2/NO/O3 calibration sources support the verification and calibration of compatible gas measurement equipment.

How is ozone measured?

Several 2B Technologies ozone monitors use ultraviolet (UV) absorption to quantify ozone in sampled air. The exact optical design, measurement range, sampling equipment and interference handling depend on the model. Calibration sources have a different role: they generate or provide controlled gas concentrations for compatible monitoring instruments.

Typical applications

  • Ambient ozone monitoring and atmospheric research
  • Industrial ozone generation and process control
  • Workplace ozone measurement
  • Gas-phase ozone monitoring associated with water treatment processes
  • Verification and calibration of compatible ozone analyzers

How to choose an ozone monitor

Check the required ozone concentration range, detection limit, measurement method, sampling conditions, data logging, outputs and installation environment. For calibration applications, confirm gas species, output range and compatibility with the receiving instrument.

ES Canada can assist with selecting ozone measurement and calibration equipment according to the intended gas-phase application.
